SOFFIT, FASCIA & GUTTERING
Soffits, Fascias and guttering all play an important role in keeping your home pest free and dry, but they are also highly important from an aesthetic point of view.
Both soffits and Fascias serve practical purposes protecting your house as well as adding a finished and aesthetically pleasing look.
Soffit
A roof soffit is the covering which sits between the outer edges of your roof and the adjacent wall of the house. They are what protect and seal the underside of roof rafters.

Modern soffits are usually made of uPVC. UPVC soffits and fascias are hard wearing and cope well with exposure to moisture.
Guttering
Gutters catch the rainwater and direct it into the downpipes, and towards a drain. To ensure the water does not pool in places it shouldn't, guttering is fixed with the appropriate “fall” If not this could eventually lead to your gutters overflowing which is then likely to cause other problems.
Cost-Effective
UPVC options last much longer than wood fixtures and work out excellent value for money. By upgrading your fascia and soffit could save you money and prove energy efficient. They’ll act as a protection against the elements, keeping the cold out and your heating bills lower.

Fascia
Fascias are traditionally a softwood board which is mounted to the exposed edges of your rafters, however, in recent years, this has been replaced with high-grade uPVC as softwood has a tendency to rot.
From a cosmetic point of view Facias are much nicer to look at than exposed rafters.
The purpose of a fascia is to protect and seal the roof and the interior of your home from exposure to the elements. They also support roof tiles at an eaves level and to provide support for the guttering.
Downpipe
Downpipes are the vertical pipes underneath the guttering which are designed take rain and debris to the ground floor level, and out of the guttering into the drainage system. Downpipes are also referred to as downspout, drain spout, roof drain pipe
Maintenance Free
Once installed UPVC fixtures provide immediate protection to your home. We recommend giving your soffit and fascia a clean every once in a while, especially if there’s been heavy rain. But unlike traditional materials uPVC plastic won’t need treated or repainted.
